On the evening of October 13, Women United, a United Way affinity group, hosted their annual meeting–the first in-person annual meeting held since 2019.
United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (UWGLV) Women United will honor Laurie Hackett of Air Products with the 2022 Betsy Torrence Philanthropist of the Year Award, the group’s highest accolade.
Faces Int, in partnership with ArtsQuest and United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, is proud to present “Heroes,” an exhibition by 2022 Musikfest artist Bart Cooper.
Members will present Yeager’s award at the group’s annual event Women United 2021, to be held virtually on Tuesday, October 19.
Women United is supporting a new pilot program in partnership with Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley and Resilient Lehigh Valley called Trauma informed, Restorative Practices, Emotional Intelligence and Equity (T.R.E.E.) training.
Funding will support the Allentown Freedom Schools Partnership, Resilient Lehigh Valley and Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley to address emerging needs including racial justice, summer learning and trauma.
