Air Products Employees and Retirees Contribute $5.7 Million to United Way and Nonprofit Partners during Annual Campaign

Easton, PA, April 25, 2024 – Air Products employees and retirees again gave generously to the company’s annual United Way Campaign. Their donations, matched dollar-for-dollar by the Air Products Foundation, combined for a total Company United Way Campaign record of $5,789,112 to support those in need in the Lehigh Valley and communities throughout the country. This represents Air Products’ largest annual contribution to date.

Air Products announced the campaign results during a Day of Impact experience supported by 52 digital technology employee volunteers planting seeds at St. Luke’s Rodale Institute Organic Farm in Easton.

Volunteerism and community engagement are high priorities for Air Products. Just as our employee volunteers are planting seeds on the farm today, our support for United Way is the seed that is needed to help children and families in our community to be healthy, safe, and strong,” said Air Products’ Director of Community Relations Laurie Hackett, who serves on the local United Way Board and chaired the overall United Way campaign in 2022.

This successful campaign means that communities around the country will benefit, since employees and retirees’ donations stay in their home communities. The donations directly support more than 700 nonprofits in 44 states, including 77 local United Ways.

“Air Products employees and retirees have once again stepped up to meet the needs of the communities where they live and work. Their contributions are critical to improving access to education, food, housing and many other essential services for hundreds-of-thousands of people in the communities they serve,” said David Lewis, President of United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
